As a nutritional therapy practitioner, I am guided by the philosophy that the health problems of modern society are the result of poor nutritional foundations that do not support good health. NTPs focus on how a properly prepared, nutrient-dense diet of whole foods provides the ultimate foundation leading to optimal health. In my practice, I utilize several functional tools to answer three big questions for every client:
1) Is there a deficiency or imbalance present?
2) Will a particular nutrient work to help a client increase wellness?
3) When is the client sufficient in a certain nutrient?
Through one-on-one consultations, my clients learn about the correct nutritional balance for a long term lifestyle change. I work alongside individuals and families to change their lives, taking a holistic approach to healing through nutrient dense foods. If we look to our ancestors for insight about dietary patterns, we can begin to understand why our health has deteriorated in the modern day. In order to reverse this pattern and achieve optimal wellness, I emphasize the quality of food as a crucial starting point in a client's wellness journey.
